Zevika Salles began his lifelong journey into the diamond world at age 13, starting as an apprentice at Tambour Diamonds, in Netanya, Israel. He worked under the mentorship of Isaiah Schwartz, Milek Tambur and Victor Dvash, learning to cut, finish, and appraise diamonds. Zevika worked hard and long, mastering the skills of the trade until 1972, when he immigrated to the United States at the age of 22. Not two years later, he founded Atlas Diamond Company with his wife Helen, keeping a constant quest in mind: to provide excellent diamonds and excellent customer service.

In 2000, Helen and Zevika’s daughter Adina graduated from San Francisco State University and began working full-time for Atlas as Office Manager. Zevika, Helen, and Adina have been the core staff of the business ever since.

For Zevika & Helen, Atlas is more than just a diamond trading company. It is a representation of the American dream. Still run exclusively by them and their daughter Adina to this day, Atlas remains a small yet prosperous business, and the manifestation of a lifetime of hard work and dedication.
